The research conducted in our group is aimed at the identification and development of new bioactive molecules. To reach this goal, we employ integrated methods and advanced strategies in Medicinal Chemistry and Molecular Structural Biology, including the state of the art in the drug and agrochemical design. The focus of our work is on contributing to the development of Brazil through effective actions in science, technology and innovation in the strategic areas of bioenergy and drug design.

The working group is located at the Laboratory of Medicinal and Computational Chemistry (LQMC). The laboratory is part of the National Institute of Science and Technology for Structural Biotechnology and Medicinal Chemistry in Infectious Diseases - INBEQMeDI (INCT-CNPq-FAPESP) and the Center for Innovation in Biodiversity and Drugs (CIBFar-CEPID-FAPESP), held at São Carlos Institute of Physics, University of São Paulo. The solid infrastructure and multidisciplinary expertise gathered in our group are important aspects of our research.​
